We're born with our powers (and the tattoos!!), so it's safe to say that a new Siren can only be born once another has died. Not much is really known about how it all happens? What with us being so rare But I've assumed that our powers get - recycled, I guess? So mine is was Phaseshift Since I'm dead, presumably a new Siren got born soon after? Maybe she got Phaseshift too instead of something new? Which would mean that the people who think this is a simulation might not be *entirely* incorrect. In the control core I used to be able to manipulate the way my environment looked. Pretty extensively because I was hooked into it all I could do some awesome things with tech in general. I used to be linked up with all the Hyperion databases and surveillance networks and stuff! Anywhere there was tech made by the company, I could control a whole lot of stuff It's pretty feasible that someone with my abilities could run a place like this.
