She told me she doesn't trust him and why she doesn't.
I got mad, but not at her. At your situation.
You have people that care for you, so why should you be around that loser.

It's all very complicated and she doesn't have the full story anyway
But since you're asking! Generally I *don't* want to be around him very much, but sometimes it's unavoidable. And I wouldn't feel right cutting him out of my life completely, either.

Alright, just imagine someone you love a lot (a friend, family, it doesn't matter which) suddenly starts hanging around with a bad crowd and doing things you don't approve of. It starts off small, but eventually they become a really nasty person. Maybe you even start hating them?
That doesn't cancel out the love you had for them, though. It's still there. You love the person they were (or you thought they were) despite what they've become.
I mean look at Jack for yourself
You know enough to call him a loser, but he *did* sacrifice himself to save me from the monster before you showed up that day!
When someone loves you that much it's hard not to love them back

Yeah! Pretty much. So I know he's a tool but I also know that isn't *all* he is. And because I know him, I understand why he does the douchey things he does.
