[ It's news to no one that Angel has been through a lot. She's not the type of person who scares easily. But a lifetime of isolation as dad's lil princess means that she has absolutely no experience of being handled roughly and it is frightening as all heck. ]

[ Not that she's too frightened to fuss over Rhys' condition. Be careful with that noodle ok geez ]

[ There are few things more frightening than a missing child, and Jack handles the fear and rage by slamming this... mystery woman against the wall. Something he feels a twinge of shame for, which only intensifies as he catches sight of the arm in question.

[ Welp. Being slammed into a wall is, shockingly, even scarier than being shaken. Not to mention the whole thing where Angel is physically pretty fucking frail and so she's completely winded by the impact. But hey, at least the slowly-encroaching numbness and her killer pain threshold are working in her favour and it doesn't really hurt! YAAYYYYYY.

She's not sure if Jack-slash-Rhys has come to his senses yet, but something is obviously sinking in. Time to try again. ]

They do let go of her, stumbling back drunkenly, so in sync that it's impossible to make independent movement. ]

[ He does back up from the hug, but not enough for it to be considered a proper dodge. The Jack in him legitimately has no idea how to react to what he did and is on the brink of shorting out.

After the failed mini-dodge he just sort of crumples into her arms bonelessly, which isn't good for broken ribs, but is good for broken hearted noodles.

It... might not be good for wee, tiny Angels, though. ]
