I'm not sure. His port overheated badly - we cooled it down pretty quickly, but not quickly enough, I suppose.
He had some kind of seizure, I think? And he's finding words and concentration difficult.

If the external port overheated badly enough to burn his skin, his brain is probably in worse condition. Extrnal cooling would take a while to reach any internal pieces. It's a miracle he's still alive.

Has he seized again?

Keep him calm and monitor him. Keep the opening clean. He may have lost control of basic bodily functions like thermoregulation, balance, and memory formation. His mood may be unstable. He may be unable to understand you.

Essentially, his brain has been cooked. He probably won't heal. Instead, he will continue to deteriorate.

Assume Hyperion tech is made of incredibly high-quality metal alloys specifically produced to minimise overheating. Also assume that the port and ECHO eye are designed to augment brain function and store information and memories.
Does the prognosis change at all? At least in regards to deterioration? If his condition can at least stabilize then it would be enough. I'm more than willing to put in the effort necessary for helping him cope.
In addition: he hasn't had any further seizures that I know of, but I'll keep an eye on him (obviously). I've also been keeping him warm, rested and hydrated - am I missing anything?

Possibly. I don't have enough experience with the technology to know for sure. Don't be optimistic.

Monitor the injured area. Try to keep it clean. the last thing he needs is an infection. Don't get water in it.
